FOOD IMMERSION: FROM THE KITCHEN TO THE CELLAR

Hands-on Traditional Family Italian, Mediterranean and Vegetarian Kitchen with Art Excursions, Wine Tasting and Fun

6 nights - 7 days stay for a deep unique all inclusive Tuscan experience.
A different excursion every day to meet the beauty of our Art: medieval walled towns, art cities, small undiscovered villages. Places where each brick tells you a story from the past.

A full week in a real Tuscan home, with the company of your hosts, cooking and eating all together, experiencing the local culture visiting open markets, food and art workshops.

On the 4 hands-on cooking classes, following seasonal products and the fruits of our organic garden we’ll cook several tradional family recipes coming from different Italian regions, to experience the large variety of flavors and ingredients that make Italian cuisine so wide and unique.

We could not miss learning about wine! Sergio Falzari, the owner and vinegrower of the biodynamic farm “il Giardino”, will guide you to visit his vineyards, the cellars, tasting the wines and learning about the secrets of wine appreciation.

Beginner and expert cook will all find something new to learn : creativity affects good food more than the many rules.

Recipes change for seasonal products of our organic garden and local farm markets

9:30 - Half day visit to San Gimignano.
Visit to the winery of San Donato and enjoy lunch

16:30 - Cooking class: a Southern Vegetarian dinner
* Lasagne with eggplantss
* Sweet and sour peppers
* Stuffed and baked zucchine
* Brutti e Buoni

TUESDAY
8:30/9:30 breakfast

9:30 - Visit to Certaldo

13:30 - Lunch:
Assorted local cheeses with honey and fruit
Mixed salad

16:30 - Cooking class: a fall Tuscan dinner
* Risotto with pumpkin & mushrooms
* Chicken “ alla Toscana”
* Salad with pecorino cheese and pears
* Crostata with figs and rosemary


WEDNESDAY

9:30 - Visit to the Baroque monastery in Calci

13:00 - Lunch
Salad with Savoy cabbage and beans Bruschetta with scamorza and fennel seeds Fruit

16:30 - Cooking class: A dinner from Piedmont
* Brasato al Chianti (Beef Stew in Chianti wine and vegetables)
* Potato ring (3 flavors baked mash potato)
* Bunet (chocolate pudding)

THURSDAY
8:30/9:30 - breakfast
 
9:30 - Art guided excursion to Florence with Grazia Badino.
Lunch in town.

19:30: experience Alfonso's real Napolitan Pizza

9:30 - Visit to food producers: pasta, cured meat, cheese, truffle, extra virgin olive oil, chocolate, depending by the season OR visit to the open market

13.00 - “Friday lunch”

16:30 - Visit to the wine Producers Sergio Falzari from ”Azienda Agricola Il Giardino”, a bio-dinamic farm. Visit to the vineyards and the cellar. Guided wine tasting and class on wine appreciation.
