Art Excursions are already included in the cooking schools program.

Volterra: the Etruscan museum, a wonderful example of baroque palace, the Roman theater and thermae, the traditional                    alabaster and Etruscan goldsmith workshops.

Colle Val d'Elsa: a beautiful example of a medieval walled town, with its artistic crystal workshops.

Certaldo: with the house where Boccaccio was born, the beautiful castle, museum and art workshops

Vinci: Leonardo's birthplace, with the castle and the "Museo Leonardiano".

San Gimignano: with its towers and beautiful churches, sacred art galleries, food shops and wine cellars

Calci: a beautiful example of a Baroque monastery

Abandoned Villages: like Toiano, Libbiano, Bucciano

HIKING

Etruscan tombs:
Walk to the site of the Etruscan tombs. Learn more about the Etruscan culture

Via Francigena (the French Way): During Roman times it was the most important way of connecting between
Rome and the north of Europe. During the Middle Ages it became a pilgrim road. Through the beautiful landscapes you'll find
archeological sites, Etruscan tombs, ruins of ancient castles, parishes and hamlets.

Ancient hamlets: Walk hamlet to hamlet on the ridge.

Parco di Massaciuccoli: Walk along the lake and the marsh. The ideal place for bird watching.

Parco di San Rossore: Through the pine forest to the beach. Ideal for flora and fauna lovers.

Natural cave of Barga: 5 km tour between stalagtites and stalagmites

The old marble quarries: Surreal scenery, facing the Mediterranean sea.

SINGLE COOKING CLASS

A short culinary adventure through our Traditional Family Recipes.
Starting at 4:30 p.m. we cook together a complete seasonal menu, using the fresh products coming from our organic garden and local open markets.
