Two Days about Wine & Cooking: (min.3 people)
An authentic experience in a real farm-house in Tuscany, in the beautiful frame of the Tuscan rolling hills. Our wine
master Steve Armstrong will accompain you through the secrets of wine and with Pat you'll discover the true tastesof our
Peasant Cooking.

A combination of cooking and wine tasting, to experience the great "Tuscan way" at its best, sitting at the table in good
company, enjoying the great food that you have learned how to prepare, drinking good wines under Steve's guidance.
A two full days experience that also incude a guided visit to a wine producer and wine tasting.
During the 4 hours cooking you¹ll learn how to prepare a complete dinner following our traditional family recipes, using
fresh ingredients coming from the organic garden and the local open markets.
The schedule is full, but there'll be time to relax, lay down on the hammock, enjoy the pool or to take a walk along the
ancient paths on the ridges.
The Introductory Wine Course included into the program is designed as a practical introduction to wine and wine tasting.
We don't assume that you have any particular knowledge of wine, only that you have an interest in it.
It consists of a three-hours session on wine apareciation in which 4 selected Italian wines are tasted, and a visit to a wine
producer.
Session topics are:
1. Tasting Technique & Classic Grape Varieties
Tasting wine the way the professionals do. Introducing some classic grape varieties.
2. Wine Production & Classic Grape Varieties
Viticulture and vinification. Introducing more classic grape varieties.
3. Making wine
Experiment in how wine is made with simple props such as distilled water, grape juice, sugar, salt, acid, and other interesting things.
4. Italy & Tuscany
The wines of Italy.
5. Wine & Food
Conventions, ignoring conventions, pairings.
6. Choosing, Buying, Storing & Serving wine
dos, don'ts & other advice.
7. Common wine faults
8. Wine producer visit
Put into practice what you have learnt during the course and see how things are really done
At the start of the course, we will provide you with a list of the wines to be tasted and a folder containing comprehensive
notes on the topics covered including the practical issues, maps of the wine regions and tasting sheets on which to write
your tasting notes.
Course Fee:
330€ (US$ 444) (246 GBP) pp includes:
cost of all tasting wines, the course manual and trasportation to a local wine producer, meals, cooking class.
1 night B&B at 120 € (US$ 160) (90 GBP) per double room. Includes breakfast.
Schedule:
Day 1: arrival for lunch, relaxation in the garden or at the salt water pool.

It is possible, upon request, to extend your visit, having dinner with us and
staying overnight.
The extra required is 170 € (US$228) (128 GBP) per double room.
